A friend of mine is running the Brighton marathon in April, and I want to go down and support her, so I’ve been looking around for some Brighton hotels that look nice. I’d really like to stay somewhere near the seafront, but I know that’s difficult to find because it’s such an in-demand area! I’m sure there’s a few really nice B&B’s in some of the more suburban areas of the city such as Preston Park or Falmer, which might be more affordable. It’s only one night, after all. It’s such a beautiful city – they’ve recently installed a big observational wheel on the seafront right next to the pier, similar to the London Eye. There’s also the beautiful Brighton Pavillion, formerly a palatial seaside home for the Prince Regent, whose architecture borrows heavily from Indian and Oriental styles. We’ll also probably go for a stroll around the Lanes and visit the Pleasure Pier.

I figured that I would get an Auckland hire car service for us because we have a baby now, so walking around town is not an efficient thing to do. I feel as if so many parents are constantly saying that they can’t do this and that anymore, and I just do not think that this is true at all. I know for a fact that we make our lives what it is. I think that we do not have to stop having fun just because we have a baby. I know how important this can be, and I am definitely very excited about it too. One of these days, I am definitely going to try to do whatever I can in order to educate other parents about how parenting does not really have to be a big deal. You just have to know what to do.
